On behalf of Florida Kiwanis Governor Tommy Mills and with the heaviest of hearts, we regret to inform you of the passing of 2004-05 Kiwanis International President Case Van Kleef on November 30, 2025 following an accidental fall in his home.
Case’s journey with our organization began when he was working as the banquet manager at Cobo Hall in Detroit, MI where Kiwanis International was celebrating their 50th anniversary in 1965. He was so impressed with the organization he joined the next day and thus began a 60+ year devotion to our organization that culminated with his ascension to International President in 2004-2005. In later years, Case’s commitment to Kiwanis never wavered. He continued to serve actively with the Kiwanis Club of Northside Naples, and as recently as November 22nd he was purchasing and delivering Thanksgiving baskets for families in need alongside Key Club students. To his core, he embodied all that is good and noble in the Kiwanis mission and practiced the Six Objects of Kiwanis every day of his life.
We extend our deepest condolences to Susan and the Van Kleef family and are grateful for Case’s lifetime of devoted service to Kiwanis.
Out of respect for Susan and the family, we ask that members please refrain from calling at this time as they grieve this profound loss. ... See MoreSee Less
